Wales

Wales is not represented seperately on the United Kingdom's Union Flag and in the 1950's created the flag seen to the left to represent the Welsh Community. Some have replaced this flag with the Cross of David, which is a black field with a Yellow cross similar to the St. George's Cross. The flag of Wales is a white and green field split in half horizontally with the red dragon centering it. Some have argued that the Red Dragon should be included on the Union Jack to represent the Welsh influence in the United Kingdom. The reason that Wales is not represented currently in the Union Jack is that England had conquered Wales prior to joining with Scotland to create the United Kingdom, so Wales was considered represented by St. George's Cross.
