Northern Ireland Historic
The flag of Northern Ireland as seen here is no longer in use, but was used from 1953 - 1972 by the former government. Today the flag is represnted by the United Kingdom's Union Jack, where Northern Ireland is represnted by Saint Patrick's Cross. The flag as seen to the left was designed with Saint George's Cross and the royal standard of Ulster. There are several variants of the flag, including the Union Jack in the canton (upper hoist-side corner). The flag is no longer officially in use but it is still seen during sporting events such as national football team events or Ulster Rugby games.
